The Good News about what’s happening in Queens.

(plus a special deal on flying trapeze!)

Long Island City has certainly been in the news lately, including our councilman mentioning our facility in the NY Times! Our neighborhood is changing quickly. We are trying to stay positive. We are open, we plan to continue our professional training and also to welcome those who wish to try circus arts in a pro space where you can witness some of the greatest acts in the world being formed. Many current shows and movies that you see have been cast with the pros who train at Circus Warehouse. Most recently: The Greatest Showman movie, Disney on Ice, Marvel Universe Live, Big Apple Circus, The Pearl Fishers at the Metropolitan Opera, and the dance companies Momix and Dzul Dance.

To celebrate our tenacity against all odds, we’re offering a sale on a single Flying Trapeze class, $50 for a drop-in! (Regular price is $66.) All you have to do is click SCHEDULE/REGISTER to sign up and pay. We are continuing this special through the end of November.

From the NYTimes:
“You can almost reach out from Hunters Point Park and feel like you’re going to touch 34th Street in Manhattan,” the local councilman, Jimmy Van Bramer, said of the proximity to Midtown Manhattan. There is also a collection of amenities tailor-made for technology employees: the MoMA PS1 contemporary art center, several breweries and a place where you can learn trapeze.”
