Circus Warehouse offers a range of unique conditioning classes:

This fun and intense strength and conditioning class combines traditional circuit training, TABATA interval training and circus arts conditioning. It will help you advance both your fitness and circus levels provides an intense workout that can be modified for all fitness levels. The class builds strength and endurance using plyometric drills, exercise bands and circus apparatus, incorporating set time intervals of work and rest. Bring a small towel to class as you will be sweating.

Designed by Ken Berkeley based on nearly three decades of fitness instruction, coaching and performing experience, Performance Conditioning prepares circus athletes for the rigors of circus performance, combining anaerobic and aerobic needs/management with strength and power demands. Students focus on form and execution for a range of performance-length intervals, including four, six and eight minute routines. Performance Conditioning is essentially High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) for circus specialists. No matter the fitness level, all circus professionals benefit from this dynamic program.

This challenging strength and form building 60 min class, taught by Ken Berkeley (the Ken of the acro-duo KENiMATTix) focuses on the necessary muscular strength and endurance to accelerate your training needs and goals in performing acrobatic skills from handstands to partner building skills to the deep core strength needed in all aspiring circus performers and practitioners. Open to All Levels.

This class is a must for anyone wishing to pursue serious aerial work. We use silks, static trapezes and lyras to work on muscles vital to spending time in the air. Time on the ground is also used to work small muscles for emphasis on injury prevention, especially in the shoulders. Attention is paid to proper form for pull ups, inversions, climbs, and other aerial basics.

MOBILITY for Strength and Flexibility
“Mobility” focuses on helping you improve joint mechanics and providing you with tools to perform basic maintenance on yourself to become a better athlete. Your body was designed to move. We lose that at some point, usually from sitting at a desk all day or maybe after an injury, overuse, improper movement or prolonged strength training. Learn how to recover from intense workouts, achieve better positioning and manage soreness all through foam rolling, self-myofascial release, PNF, trigger point, self-massage and stretch band work. This class is about stretching with intention, about positions, ideas. The focus changes weekly.
