World in 2013 Gala -- Le Cage performance

You may have noticed a lack red-haired instructors at the Warehouse one night a few weeks ago…

La Cage was honored to be invited to perform at The World in 2013 Gala, hosted by The Economist magazine. Following the performance, I gave my predictions on the future of performing/circus arts in the upcoming year. (This was more nerve-wracking than the actual performance.) I spoke with the evening’s host, Daniel Franklin, The Economist Executive Editor and editor of The World in 2013, a collection of forecasts for the year ahead.

Check out the clip below to see our performance and my interview.

You can also see PHOTOS from the event.

We Cagelles (all being of the slightly nerdy type) were very excited to share the green room with writer Neil Gaiman and his wife, rock-star Amanda Palmer, who, we’re happy to say, enjoyed our performance.

We had a great time — though the floor was so slippery we had a hard time spinning! 🙂
